The annual match was highly anticipated and despite eight ladies having to drop out for one reason or another, Julia Dunkley, Vice-President, managed to field a full team.
The club house was full of chatter and anticipation of the event to come. As the Ladies had won last year, it was felt we would have a tough match this year.
The weather could have been kinder but that did not deter anyone and Beedles Lake looked immaculate, always challenging, but great fun.
My thanks go to Beedles Lake for hosting us and providing such a lovely meal after play. My thanks also to Lynda & Glyn Bramley for sponsoring nearest the pin on the 13th. Won by Layala Overlunde for the men and Julia Dunkley for the Ladies.
The game was played in good spirit with plenty of banter and I am delighted to say the trophy was won 8/4 by The Ladies, a 1st as this has never been achieve two consecutive years.
From the bacon rolls & coffee to the excellent meal served to us at Beedles Lake I would like to say a huge thank you for hosting us.
