Our annual meeting to welcome and talk about our Association with the incumbent Lady Captains and their incoming Vice-Captains took place at Charnwood Forest on Thursday 25th September. Club Representatives are also invited to participate in the 9 hole AM AM competition which is followed by lunch.
The objective of this day is to encourage captains' incoming captains and club representatives to meet together in a social environment to network and find out a bit about the Association. It's all about making new friends and having fun.
Past Lady Captain of Charnwood Forest Annie Martin and Helen Sherratt, a long standing member of the club welcomed and hosted us all on the day. Their support was greatly appreciated.
27 ladies attended, 24 ladies playing and 3 more coming along to the meal who were unable to play due to injuries. The meeting was successful with compliments coming from some of the ladies who attended.
Winners were Ann Jervis and Julie Simpson from Kibworth and Karen Dalzell-Payne and Sue Bailey from Birstall with an impressive 43 points.
Many thanks to Annie who took photographs of all the teams on the tee, to Chris O’Neill for helping to sell the merchandise and to Lynda for her organisation and support on the day.
Thank you to all the ladies who supported this event and to the staff and members of Charnwood Forest golf club for the use of their course and facilities and for making us feel so welcome.
