30 ladies from 15 clubs attended the event held for lady captains to bring their vice captains for 9 holes of golf and lunch at Charnwood Forest golf club on Thursday 24th September 2026.
The ladies arrived for tea or coffee and a chat with fellow participants as this was the first time that the incoming captains for 2027 get together in an informal environment. There was the chance to try on our merchandising and to purchase available stock on the day or to place an order for the relevant size of products to wear in future matches and events.
Seven teams of 4 played together in an AM AM competition with 2 scores to count on each hole. The winners were:
In 1st Place:
- Melissa Albray and Kelly Roberts of Hinckley playing with Gail Ballard and Jacqui Yeomans of Lutterworth with 41 points
In 2nd Place:
- Chris Walker and Debbie Westman of Beedles Lake playing with Karen Latter and Sue Woodcock of Cosby with 39 points
Everyone enjoyed their lunch of jacket potatoes with a choice of toppings and served with a side salad.
Following a presentation of the prizes there was a short introduction outlining the objectives of the Association, the events scheduled for 2027 and the trophy events already booked for 2028.
Our thanks are sent to the members and staff of Charnwood Forest golf club for the use of their course and for their welcome and hospitality on the day. The bar and catering staff were helpful both before and on the day and the food was very tasty.
We would also like to thank all the ladies who attended on the day, we could not do this without your support.
