The AGM and luncheon held at Devonshire Place on Thursday 13th February 2020 was attended by 158 ladies.

Ladies were welcomed to Devonshire Place by President Glenda Yeldham and Vice-President Helen Buckingham to attend the luncheon followed by the 47th AGM.

The number of ladies attending the event was down slightly from last year however the feedback from those attending the event was very good.  Jill Preston of Scraptoft gave Grace before the ladies tucked into their meal of, a very tasty fish pie or vegetarian meal option that was also enjoyed by the ladies. Desserts or cheese and biscuits were eagerly tucked away and the service provided by staff was very efficient. Mrs Yeldham has written to Devonshire Place thanking them.

Rachel Miller, the lady captain at Longcliffe kindly offered to take photographs.

The Annual General Meeting started at 2pm with a minutes silence for six members who had passed away during the year. Best wishes were sent to ladies who were in poor health.

This year we said farewell to Mary Jarvis as Treasurer after eight years and she will be missed.  Mary was presented with garden centre vouchers for plants for her new garden for her service to the Association. There was an amendment to the constitution to allow past Lady Captains who were no longer a member of a Golf Club to become a Social Member.  This entitles them to play in the Bridge Drive and attend the AGM.  This was passed, all ladies agreeing the change.
